Once the writing process begins, he takes complete control over every element: recording, vocal layering, phrasing, and post-production. His lyrics are written entirely by him, run through Grammarly Premium for accuracy, and synced manually across all platforms. Every release is accompanied by a comprehensive rollout featuring music videos, lyric videos, visualizers, Spotify canvases, custom thumbnails, and updated banners across digital platforms, ensuring that each project remains cohesive from start to finish and immerses the audience in his artistic vision.
Navigating the industry independently presented early challenges. Like many artists, Fine$$ quickly discovered that not everyone in the business has pure intentions. Early in his career, he worked with a studio that mishandled one of his major projects, resulting in a beat tag being left on a final version intended for official release. Rather than compromise, he re-recorded the single with a new studio, spent nearly a year refining it, and eventually re-released the entire project on his terms.
That project became his debut album, Every Lord Needs a Lady, which dropped on December 31, 2022. The album features a chronological tracklist that reflects two years of personal and creative evolution, exploring heartbreak on the front half and love and growth on the second. The genre-blending album reached #184 on the iTunes Top 200 Pop Charts—proof that independent artists can compete globally when backed by discipline and a long-term vision.
Early Performances and Career Foundation
Before formally launching his career, Yung Lord Fine$$ began developing his stage presence in college, where he performed at Siena College’s Musical Mayhem competition in 2021, finishing as runner-up. That same year, he released his first official single, Lost, featuring Dutch artist Valious, which addressed themes of heartbreak and self-reflection that have continued throughout his catalog. He went on to perform at multiple showcases, including UAlbany’s Got Talent, in 2024, while steadily building his brand and refining his sound independently.
