Born and raised in Miami, Florida, $hermbug is an artist whose story is rooted in grit, discipline, and relentless belief. Now based in San Jose, California, his journey reflects both a physical and artistic migration—one driven by ambition, sacrifice, and an unshakable vision for more.

With a sound that blends The Game’s raw rasp and street presence with Larry June’s luxurious, motivational lifestyle talk, $hermbug has carved out a lane that feels both aspirational and grounded. His music speaks to making a way out, enjoying the fruits of hard work, and staying real about the journey—never selling illusions, only lessons.

Music wasn’t his first proving ground.

As the nephew of the late Kimbo Slice, $hermbug grew up surrounded by resilience and intensity, but he forged his own path early. A talented hockey player, he spent years balancing athletics and songwriting, excelling at both before facing a defining choice. After taking hockey as far as possible, he retired from the sport in 2019 and redirected that same elite-level focus into music—full force.

“If I could make it pro in hockey,” he believes, “I can do it in the music industry too.”

Since then, $hermbug has approached music with the mindset of an athlete: discipline, consistency, and preparation. No expectations—just love for the craft.

His upcoming release, Dimsum, arriving January 30th, 2026, stands as a personal milestone. More than a song, Dimsum is a testimony—a snapshot of how far he’s come, the places he’s traveled, and the people he’s shared the journey with. It reflects growth, gratitude, and perspective, while reminding listeners that while a 9–5 is respectable, social media illusions shouldn’t dictate self-worth or ambition.

The message is clear: anything is possible when effort meets belief.

That belief has already begun to pay off. $hermbug has worked alongside COSH, a brilliant sound designer out of Boston, and has been involved in records connected to Wiz Khalifa, Caso, Feezey LeBron, Lofty305, HenryAZ, and Jon Rise, who is signed to Cool & Dre. Each collaboration reflects his growing presence and respect within the industry.

At his core, $hermbug is driven by hard work, a readiness to travel, and a deep love for music. He enters every room hungry, focused, and grateful—never entitled, always prepared.

Looking ahead, his vision includes creating more timeless records with his brothers on the East Coast and potentially crafting a full project with Big Jerm of Taylor Gang—a move that would align seamlessly with his sound and ethos.

Above all, the message $hermbug wants to leave behind is simple but powerful:

Follow the dream that keeps you up at night.
Never let anyone discredit your aspirations.

With discipline forged through sports, wisdom earned through experience, and music fueled by authenticity, $hermbug isn’t chasing a moment—he’s building a legacy.
