Harlem, New York has long been known as a cultural heartbeat of America, producing legendary voices that shape music and entertainment. Continuing that tradition is Harlem native Kartier Conway, a performer whose journey from dance to music is now taking center stage with his latest single, “Wish I Never.”
Raised in Harlem with family roots in St. Thomas and St. Croix in the Virgin Islands, Conway discovered his passion for performing at just five years old when his family enrolled him at the Ruth Williams Dance School on 125th Street. What started as a way to channel his childhood energy quickly grew into a lifelong dedication to the arts.
His talent eventually brought him to the legendary Apollo Theater, where he won Amateur Night seven times, earning recognition as a powerful performer and opening doors to mentorship from entertainment figures like Mo’Nique, who helped guide his career.
Now expanding further into music, Conway is introducing listeners to a more emotional side of his artistry with “Wish I Never,” a fresh R&B single produced by Tmayde. The track highlights his growth as an artist and offers a glimpse into his upcoming project, “The Truth of Dedication.”
From Harlem stages to the evolving world of music, Kartier Conway continues to prove that dedication to your craft can take you anywhere.
Anything is possible if you put your mind to it.
