It all started with a Whodini record. “The Freaks Come Out at Night” played on repeat in a young Big Cade’s room as he scratched his mom’s records pretending to be a DJ. “She kept buying me tapes,” he laughs, “as long as I didn’t repeat the bad words.”

His love for music took a deeper meaning after the passing of his grandmother. “Before she passed, I told her I’d be a star,” he shares. “She didn’t live to see it, but that’s what drives me now.”
