In today’s R&B landscape, where vulnerability and authenticity have become the new anthems, SyrianG stands out as a genuine voice of emotion and strength. We sat down with her to talk about inspiration, purpose, and what’s next for this rising Toronto-based artist.

Q: What inspired you to start making music?
SyrianG: I’ve always been surrounded by music. My great-great-grandfather was a well-known blues musician, so it’s in my blood. I grew up listening to all kinds of sounds, and I fell in love with the emotion behind it — how a song could make you feel something deep. That’s what pushed me to start.

Q: How do you stay motivated and keep evolving?
SyrianG: My motivation comes from God and my family. They remind me who I am and why I do this. Music is emotional — some days it flows, and some days it’s hard. But I’ve learned that even the hard days have purpose. I also stay inspired by life itself — by love, faith, and learning from my experiences.

Q: Tell us about your recent projects.
SyrianG: My latest single, “Falling,” is one of my favorite songs I’ve ever made. It’s about giving love another chance, even when you’ve been hurt. Before that, I released my EP “Time Up,” which I’m really proud of. It’s about growth, healing, and knowing your worth, letting go of what doesn’t serve you anymore.

Q: Any big collaborations or features we should look out for?
SyrianG: I’m focusing on building my sound and identity first. Collaborations will come,  I’d love to work with artists who value authenticity and soul, people who create from a real place. But for now, I’m telling my story.

Q: When did your career officially begin?
SyrianG: I started in 2014, but the journey truly began when I started believing in myself. I’ve grown so much since then, not just as an artist, but as a person.

Her answers reflect exactly who she is,  humble, faith-driven, and deeply connected to her art. In an industry that often prioritizes image over substance, SyrianG’s focus on purpose and emotional honesty sets her apart.

“Music heals,” she says. “If I can make someone feel less alone through my songs, then I’ve done my job.”

As her sound continues to evolve, one thing remains clear: SyrianG’s voice isn’t just heard , it’s felt.
